Close out the weekend with a celebration at the National Museum of the U.S. Army, honoring William & Mary’s 333-year legacy and America’s upcoming 250th anniversary. Guests will enjoy learning about W&M’s military history from historian and retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel Brit Erslev ’97 and exploring curated access to “Call to Arms: The Soldier and the Revolutionary War,” followed by a private brunch and panel connecting Revolutionary-era service to today’s call for civic leadership. Moderated by Kathleen Jabs, special assistant to the W&M president for military and veteran affairs, the panel features Michael Powell ’85, D.P.S. ’02, Army ROTC alumnus and former FCC chair and NCTA CEO; Brigadier General Tim Brady ’97, U.S. Marine Corps and former athlete; and Angelique Echols ’25, M.Ed. ’27, U.S. Navy veteran and student leader. Together, they will discuss how service, civic responsibility and philanthropy strengthen democratic engagement and how the W&M community can lead with purpose in this milestone year.
