Start your day with purpose at a hands-on volunteer experience at D.C. Central Kitchen. Rooted in William & Mary’s mission to serve the nation and the world, join frontline staff and culinary job training students in preparing fresh produce for healthy meals distributed across the District. No culinary skills needed, just a willingness to help and a heart for service. Open to ages 12 and older and requiring a General Liability and Waiver form, this meaningful morning is a chance to connect, strengthen community and bring William & Mary’s values to life in lasting ways.

Note

  • Open to ages 12 and older.
  • Attendees will be required to sign a General Liability and Waiver form at the event.
  • Dress code:
    • Long pants (no skirts, no shorts).
    • Closed toe shoes. No tank tops, halter tops or dresses.
    • Hair must be up and out of face. (Hair nets will be provided, hats may be worn if they cover all hair).
    • Masks are not required; however, they will be available for those who would prefer to wear them.
  • Please arrive on time as this shift begins promptly at 9 a.m.
  • No outside food allowed.
